Tyler Gregory Okonma, known professionally as Tyler, The Creator, is a rapper, record producer, music video director, and designer from Ladera Heights, California. A truly multidisciplinary artist, Tyler co-founded Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (OFWGKTA) as a teenager, using the collective as a creative incubator for a raw, unfiltered brand of art-rap. His early work was deliberately confrontational and transgressive, but as he matured, his music evolved into something far more nuanced and emotionally complex. His 2017 album "Flower Boy" marked a creative turning point, introducing lush, layered production and introspective lyricism exploring identity and longing. "IGOR" (2019), his fifth album, was a stunning neo-soul and synth-pop fusion that earned him a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. "Call Me If You Get Lost" (2021) and "Chromakopia" (2024) further solidified his reputation as one of music's most consistently innovative and critically celebrated artists, with each project functioning as a distinct aesthetic universe unto itself.
