Trippie Redd

Michael Lamar White IV, known professionally as Trippie Redd, is a rapper, singer, and songwriter from Canton, Ohio. One of the most colorful and genre-fluid personalities in modern rap, Trippie Redd emerged from the SoundCloud era with a style that blends emo-rap, melodic trap, punk rock, and R&B into an immediately recognizable sonic signature. His breakout single "Love Scars" (2017) introduced his plaintive, high-pitched melodic style to wide audiences. His debut album "Life's a Trip" (2018) debuted at #3, and subsequent projects like "A Love Letter to You" and "! (bang)" (2021) continued to expand his audience. Trippie is notable for collaborating across genres, working with pop artists, rock bands, and hip-hop heavyweights alike, while maintaining an aesthetic rooted in vivid colors, emotional vulnerability, and playful rebellion. His 2023 project "Mansion Musik" demonstrated his ongoing creative restlessness and consistent commercial draw.
