Polo G

Taurus Tremani Bartlett, known professionally as Polo G, is a rapper, singer, and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. A gifted lyricist with a piano-driven melodic style rooted in the Chicago drill tradition, Polo G emerged as one of the genre's most emotionally compelling voices. His debut album "Die a Legend" (2019) introduced his blend of introspective storytelling and street narratives to a mainstream audience. His 2021 album "Hall of Fame" marked a commercial breakthrough, debuting at number one and featuring the global smash "RAPSTAR," which became one of 2021's most streamed songs. Unlike many of his peers, Polo G's lyrics demonstrate a sophisticated narrative intelligence: his songs function like cinematic short stories, detailing the specific textures of life in Chicago's most dangerous neighborhoods. His 2023 project "Hood Poet" further refined his artistic vision, solidifying his reputation as one of rap's most gifted lyricists of his generation.
