Metro Boomin

Leland Tyler Wayne, known professionally as Metro Boomin, is a record producer, DJ, and rapper from St. Louis, Missouri. Widely considered one of the most important and influential producers in modern hip-hop history, Metro Boomin is the architect of the modern Atlanta trap sound. He rose to prominence in the early 2010s working alongside Future and Young Thug, crafting sparse, atmospheric beats punctuated by menacing 808 bass lines and haunting melodies. His production is instantly recognizable: dark, cinematic, and emotionally resonant. Metro's signature tag "If Young Metro don't trust you, I'm gon' shoot you" became one of music's most iconic producer drops. He has produced landmark albums including "DS2" (Future), "Barter 6" (Young Thug), and his own artist projects "Not All Heroes Wear Capes" (2018) and "Heroes & Villains" (2022). His 2024 collaboration album with Future, "We Don't Trust You" and "We Still Don't Trust You" (featuring Kendrick Lamar), shattered streaming records and sparked one of hip-hop's most iconic cultural moments.
