Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, known professionally as Logic, is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Gaithersburg, Maryland. One of hip-hop's most prolific and technically gifted lyricists of the 2010s, Logic built a devoted fanbase through an explicit love of classic hip-hop — his dense, jazz-influenced flows and meticulous syllable patterns owe a clear debt to Rakim, Big L, and Big Pun — combined with deeply personal storytelling about his difficult upbringing in poverty. His albums "Under Pressure" (2014), "Young, Sinatra" (2012), and "Everybody" (2017) are celebrated for their ambition and lyrical density. His 2017 single "1-800-273-8255" (named for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline) became a genuine cultural force, raising awareness about mental health at a scale rarely achieved by rap music, earning him a Grammy nomination and appearing in over 40 countries' charts. After a brief retirement, Logic has returned to active recording and streaming, maintaining one of rap's most loyal core fanbases.
