Big Sean

Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, known professionally as Big Sean, is a rapper from Detroit, Michigan. One of G.O.O.D. Music's most commercially successful signees, Big Sean combines razor-sharp wit, clever wordplay ("the swerve"), and anthemic, motivational hooks to create music that consistently resonates with mainstream audiences. Discovered by Kanye West after he rapped for him backstage at a Detroit radio station, Sean released his debut album "Finally Famous" in 2011. His subsequent albums "Hall of Fame" (2013), "Dark Sky Paradise" (2015), and "I Decided" (2017) all debuted at #1. Known for his rapid-fire, punchline-heavy delivery — memorably demonstrated on tracks like "One Man Can Change the World" and "Bounce Back" — Sean is one of rap's most consistent hitmakers. His "Detroit 2" (2020) was a tribute to his hometown that debuted at #1, and his continued work as a cultural ambassador for Detroit's rich hip-hop legacy has earned him the city's enduring admiration.
